The Trusted Advisor (in Dutch often called vertrouwenspersoon) is a much discussed position within organizations because of the increasing awareness on transgressive behavior and a clear need from our society to make real change regarding social safety.
Transgressive behavior should be avoided at all times, however, in practice this occurs in almost every company, sometimes without realizing it.
Proud helps organizations to increase their social- & and psychological safety. An environment where everybody feels safe, included and able to speak up without consequences is essential for both employees and organizations to thrive.
We offer external Trusted Advisors for your employees and we also help your People Leaders (HR department and Leadership team) to develop a more open and safe working environment. Lastly, we train and guide your internal Trusted Advisors.
Proud’s External Trusted Advisors
Proud works with a team of professional and approachable external Trusted Advisors that are all experienced, trained and certified.
Sometimes employees prefer to (first) discuss matters in a confidential manner with someone independent from their own organization. They may be seeking for someone to listen to their situation without judgment or conflicted interests.
Proud’s Trusted Advisors are available to listen and guide or support these employees when experiencing or witnessing transgressive behavior.

What is transgressive behavior?
Transgressive behavior includes statements, behavior and/or actions that are not wanted and/or accepted by those involved in the following categories; (sexual) harassment, bullying, aggression & violence and discrimination. Transgressive behavior is also referred to as undesirable behavior.
What is a Trusted Advisor?
A Trusted Advisor is a person who has been appointed by an organization to provide support to employees (and sometimes other parties) that have experienced or have witnessed transgressive behavior and want to report or discuss this in confidence (sometimes anonymously).
Why an External Trusted Advisor?
In addition to one or more internal Trusted Advisors, it’s wise to also appoint an external Trusted Advisor. Some of the benefits of appointing an external Trusted Advisor are:
✔️ Our external Trusted Advisors are experienced, professional and certified.
✔️ External Trusted Advisors are independent from the organization and will not experience conflicts of interest.
✔️ Having the opportunity to talk with someone independent from the organization will radiate trust and integrity.
✔️ Our external Trusted Advisors are not just available for employees but also for your internal Trusted Advisors, your People (HR) department and your Leadership team.
What are the benefits?
Other than the benefits of an external Trusted Advisor above, A Trusted Advisor is there for both employees and organizations and supports both parties to resolve issues or conflicts in the best possible manner.
The availability of a Trusted Advisor will also limit the possibility of situations to escalate or employees turning to the media (something that seems to happen more and more).
If required, Proud also offers more pro-active support to increase social- & psychological safety within the organization. We provide advice, training, and coaching which can all be beneficial to prevent transgressive behavior.
Investment & Returns
Working with Proud as your external Trusted Advisor costs a basic amount on a yearly basis depending on the size of your organization. This includes:
✔️ The availability of a diverse team of professional and certified Trusted Advisors to choose from.
✔️ Contact with a Trusted Advisor within 24 hours who is, after the first contact, available for follow-up via e-mail, phone, chat, videocall and in person.
✔️ Content and information about the Trusted Advisor to share within your organization and continuous updates on developments for your People (HR) department and Leadership team.
✔️ A quarterly update and yearly reporting & evaluation.
The sessions with our Trusted Advisors and any additional requests for us to support with are charged hourly.
